7 Peaks in 7 Days might have ended but for us it is a journey that will stay with our family for a long time.
Isabela started this journey wanting to bring the most inspiring footage to our loved ones that had cancer and couldn’t go out due to Covid-19. She wanted to bring the mountains to your homes and to share the energy, hope and connection that the mountains bring to our family.
So for her 10th birthday she decided that she wanted to raise money to help Cancer Support Switzerland. All my counselling sessions went online, as well as our gym, yoga, Pilates and more. Isabela wanted to do the same – bring the outdoor mountains to you virtually.
So we added the extra challenge and started to plan our 7 Peaks in 7 Days wanting to reach a total of 55km and an ascent of 3000m. Well let me say there is no planning that could have prepared us for the topsy turvy weather that followed all our mountain plans. But the girls woke up every morning with determination and an adventurous spirit that humbled me.
From our first peak to our last we tackled snow, hard climbs, slippery downhills, car failures and crazy weather, yet the strength and stamina of an 8 and 10 year old exceeded ALL my expectations. They didn’t stop, they just kept going. The messages kept pouring in, and your support and love filled their little legs and hearts with even more strength to keep going towards our goal and KEEP THOSE CAMERAS ROLLING.
We achieved a total of 67.44km and a total ascent of 3803m.
WE ARE HONOURED YOU STOOD BY US. All of us are so grateful for your generous donations. Isabela and Alexia were so happy to be able to share these 7 peaks in 7 days with you.
A special thank you to our youngest, Alexia, who stood by her sister everyday and always found a way to make us laugh. And we thank the amazing families that joined us and were part of this unforgettable week, and our family, friends, our colleagues, Cancer Support Switzerland’s precious peers and volunteers without whom none of this would have been possible.
And of course… must not forget the GUMMY BEARS 😊
How it all began…
A 9 year old girl Isabela came up with an amazing idea for ESCAthlon. Due to the COVID-19 public health crisis, ESCAthlon has been postponed, but Isabela did not give up. She came up with another great idea!
The whole family love the outdoors and know how lucky they are to be able to be on the mountains and in nature. Isabela has been sharing her videos with her loved ones especially her grandmother that cannot be outside right now because of their health. She wants to share these moments with you.
Isabela’s birthday is on June 17th and she decided with her family to conquer 7 peaks in 7 days starting on June 28th. That will be a total of 55-60km and 3000m cumulative ascent so she can bring to you the best footage possible from those peaks, come rain or shine they will keep going. They want to remind all of you that cannot yet go out and have to still remain indoors due to this virus that you are not alone and we are thinking of you every step of the way.
No one should face cancer alone, we are here to help.

I can’t wait to see the post of the 7th peak! Congratulation to all you for achieving this goal. It hasn’t been an easy task but you had the will, bravo! Always remind why you do that. Not just for showing people what you do but mostly for helping people in difficulty. So now... just prepare another one!
