By giving us their time and expertise, our volunteers enable us to support those affected by cancer.

Volunteering lies at the heart of everything that we do at Cancer Support Switzerland.

Our volunteers have a range of backgrounds and skillsets, and many are cancer survivors or caregivers themselves. By joining this community of volunteers, you will have the opportunity to work in an international team environment, learn new skills, and contribute to helping make the lives of those affected by cancer just a little bit easier. Areas of Work

Administration

Tasks relating to membership, database management, finances and accounting system, IT, collating of statistics, report writing, and other administrative support.

Awareness

Representing Cancer Support Switzerland at events and information stands in hospitals, international organisations, schools, companies etc. Connecting with other organizations and partners for opportunities to raise our visibility across Switzerland.

Centre & Library

Welcoming visitors, answering the phone, maintaining our lists of community resources, looking after the dedicated lending library, and keeping our information brochures up to date.

Fundraising & Events

Organising fundraisers and events, including Steps for Cancer Support , Open House. Supporting corporate fundraising, exploring new funders and assisting with communications for fundraising. Managing donations and donor relations.

Communications

Helping with various communication and marketing related tasks, including updating our website and social media, writing articles, supporting awareness events, and fundraisers.
